As soon as you arrive you are made welcome
by Yvonne and Phil Whiteman
who own this guest house and they go out
of their way
to make your stay enjoyable.
Yvonne provides a mid day lunch to keep the art group going and
also tea and coffee throughout the day.
It’s a great place to
spend time painting in a relaxed
atmosphere with new art friends.
For evening meals there several country pubs within a 10 minute drive,
all serving superb food and for those of you that like to have a
glass (or two) of wine with your evening meal it is nice to know
that Yvonne and Phil at the Redlands offer a free shuttle service.

The Redlands offer bed and breakfast accommodation .
There are nine bedrooms situated in
4 private purpose built annexes,
with a further three inside the house.
Constructed to the highest specifications, the annexes are situated
in the extensive garden.
All rooms are strictly non smoking.
The B & B accommodation includes:
Double Bed, En-suite Shower and Toilet,
TV, Microwave, Fridge and Telephone.
Tea and Coffee facilities provided.
Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the Garden Room.
Each
room has unrestricted access to a decked patio area,
ideal for winding down at the end of a busy day.

tools and materials are supplied for the course.

Two days tutoring from
a professional artist
including demonstrations of techniques used.

A maximum of 6 students
allowing
time to give each student individual tuition.

Beginners will get a sound grounding in the basics so
they can practice with tried and tested
techniques that are normally used.
Knowing your tools.
Sizing your picture.
Understanding colours.
Using light and shade.
Shading, tones and texture.
Watercolour techniques used.
Still life / landscapes /
seascapes / flowers
etc.
Beginners should take home
2 or 3 completed pictures. |

Exit the M42 motorway at
Junction 6 (The National Exhibition Centre)
Take the A45 towards Birmingham and the Airport
Keep to the left lane and leave the A45 at the first exit
(approx ¼ mile)
Keep to the right on the exit slip road
At the roundabout turn left, signposted Bickenhill B4438
Take the first left turn after ¼ mile, St Peters Lane
Take the first left turn into Church Lane
We are ¼ mile along on the right hand side
